He is back in the UK and was at Twemlow Hall AI centre in Shropshire just down the road from Jane and Malcolm Hickford's new farm.

Hi Farida,

I think you will find that Bengali is back in Germany, I believe he left the UK a few weeks ago,

Kind regards

MY FAVORITE Bengali daughter is MY beautiful Sofija! Anybody want to see a beauty? Email me for a picture. I don't know how to post on here. I fell in love with him when he was in Texas and I miss him. I was the first one to breed to him when he came to America and got a priceless daughter of my Hafati Savanna. I hope he is well!

Here is a photo I took of FS Bengali and my daughter just after she has ridden him 2 years ago. He is such a gentle sweet natured stallion.

I saw three Bengali daughters at Birgit Schiffl's place two years ago. Two of them were shown in motion and I liked them very much. They were both very thin-legged and their necks could have been longer. Both had pretty heads, not extreme in any way but very nice though. I remember Fafin Libanon having very beautiful eyes, dark and bright, just like her dam Libanon Esplashal. Judging from these three daughters I would say that Bengali is not a sire of significance as all of the three were more similar to their dams as to Bengali. What they have in common is the typical Kubinec head and charisma. This is IMO rather Kubinec's merit than Bengali's.
Just my opinion.
Conny

My favorite Bengali son is Wan-Kahli out of the beautiful mare Wanila (Ansata Nile Pasha x Wanessa / El Mokari)

He was Senior Champion Stallion at the A-show at Vilhelmsborg, Denmark.

You can see two of his daughters at my website smile.gif

I don't think I have ever seen a sire stamp his stock so consistantly as Bengali does, with both looks AND charisma!!

He stamps them in a way, yes. But in my opinion he passes on Kubinec's features mainly. I have only seen these three daugters of him in the flesh and their dams as well and I think they were mainly stamped by their dams in colours and appearance. What they had in common were kind of straight backs and thin, slightly straight legs as Bengali himself has got as well as his sire Kubinec (and as an example Koronec who is in my opinion very similar to Bengali). I remember only the deceased Scarlett having the same shape of head as Bengali as well as a similar marking on it. She was out of Menah, a Kubinec daughter and therefore double Kubinec. As I said: I'm not an expert and I know most of the horses from photos only, but: prove me wrong. wink.gif

On the other hand Conny, I have seen many many stunning examples of his progeny, such as several bred by the Hickfords, and some now born in the US. At British Nationals one year, I think that 3 of his youngsters won their classes. How about the colt that was World Champion a few years ago and sold to Saudi Arabia ? He was bay and very much resembled Bengali.
