FACTS

Shaheen is one of the most exotic stallions of his time. As a yearling he was purchased by Omar Sakr and exported to Egypt. A few months later, Shaheen became the first American-bred colt to win a Championship in Egypt, earning both the Junior Championship and Most Classic Head titles. An appropriate welcome for this young "son of the desert"! Today Shaheen has sired an impressive number of champion get - space does not permit to list them here, but his most successful son is Ghazal Sakr who won
several championships in Egypt.

PEDIGREE

Shaheen's sire, El Hadiyyah (Ansata Ibn Halima x Ansata Jellabia), emerges as one of the most popular sons of Ansata Ibn Halima. El Haddiyah foals travelled to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait, joining other breeders who discovered his unique quality in England, Chile, Canada, the Phillipines and Australia. Shaheen's dam, Bint Bint Hamamaa (Ansata Ibn Sudan x Bint Hamamaa), is one of the foundation mares of Al Nakeeb Arabians in Great Britain. She passed to his son substance and style along with a big trot.

PERSONALITY

At the 1998 "Egyptian Arabian Horse Event" in Cairo (the private breeders' show), Shaheen again ascended to the throne of Champion, this time claiming the honor of Get of Sire Champion, as well as siring the Junior Champion Colt Ghazal Sakr. Shaheen earned his first defeat ever in the most Classic Head Championship, placing second to Ghazal Sakr. In 2003 Ghazal Sakr was named National Champion Stallion of Egypt.
Winning is a family tradition!
